Name Your New Skate Park at Meridian Water

A new inclusive skate park is opening at Meridian Water, and Enfield Council is asking the local community to help name the park.

Located at Meridian Water in Edmonton the skate park has been designed to be accessible and suitable for all ages with a range of activity spaces.

Activities and Equipment on offer at the park:

• Wheeled Sports – Skate Bowl, Jump & Spine Ramp, Grind Rail, Grind Box
• Sand and water play
• Suspension bridge
• Net climber
• Swings
• Slides
• Talk tubes
• Stepping posts
• Bouncing mats
• Play houses
• Musical instruments

You can get involved by submitting your name suggestions online or at one of the drop-off locations.

Drop your name suggestion and contact details in one of the suggestion boxes at any of the following locations: Bloqs, Dugdale Art Centre, Edmonton Library, Fore Street Library, Meridian One Information Centre.

Submissions start on 27 January and will run until 9 February.

We want to hear from everyone of all ages and backgrounds and in particular the people of Edmonton who will benefit from this new exciting leisure space.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Eligibility:
    • The naming initiative is open to all Enfield residents.
  2. Submission Guidelines:
    • Each participant may submit multiple name suggestions.
    • Submissions must be original and not infringe on any third-party rights.
    • Offensive, inappropriate, or discriminatory suggestions will not be considered.
  3. Submission Methods:
    • Suggestions can be submitted via suggestion boxes placed at designated locations.
    • Participants can also submit their suggestions online through a google form.
    • Suggestions can also be made via the Meridian Water website and the Meridian Water social media pages on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • The submission boxes will be available from 27 January to 9 February.
  4. Selection Process:
    • The final name will be selected by Enfield Council based on relevance, and community values.
  5. Announcement:
    • The selected name will be announced at the official park opening event, which will take place during Easter 2025. The exact date is to be confirmed. 
    • After the park’s official opening, the name will be announced on The Council’s social media platforms.
  6. Rights
    • By submitting a suggestion, participants grant Enfield Council the right to use, modify, and publish the suggested name. 
    • Enfield Council reserves the right to make the final decision on the park’s name.

    • The winning name suggestion will be contacted with an opportunity to attend the launch event.
  8. Data
    • Data will be stored securely with the Enfield Council Communications and Meridian Water Teams until the Launch of the park in Easter.
